Woburn Safari Park is one of our most popular venues, and our Elephant Safari Photography Workshop combines an exclusive opportunity to photograph the beautiful group of Asian Elephants with a VIP, Land Rover tour of the extensive animal reserves.
After arrival at the park and a briefing from your guides over a tea/coffee, we will begin the afternoon by joining the daily Elephant talk and demonstration. This should enable the keepers to set the scene and provide some useful information on these wonderful creatures. Once the talk is finished and the normal visitors have left the arena, our small group will be able to access a good position for unobstructed views of the Elephant group in the top paddock area. The keeper should still be on hand to answer any question you might have, and the Wild Arena photography guide can make sure you are making the most of the opportunities with your camera.
Once we feel we have exhausted the opportunities with the Elephants, we will climb aboard our VIP Land Rovers for a drive around the Safari Park reserves. We should have good ‘off road’ access and be able to attain positions for photography that would be impossible for normal visitors. Guests will have their own window seat for their comfort and convenience. Species we may encounter include, White Rhinoceros, Eland Antelope, Sable Antelope, Forest Buffalo, Wildebeest, Bears, Wolves and Barbary Macaques.
The focus for these afternoon workshops will be looking to get into the best possible situations for pictures and offer support and advice regarding your photography. With the help of the keepers and special access, we will be able to deliver opportunities simply not accessible to normal park visitors.
These events include admission to the Safari Park, so you will be free to spend the start of your day exploring the rest of the exciting animals they have to offer.
