Spring in the Scottish Highlands

Spent a wonderful week at Forsinard Lodge immersed in photographing water. I learnt new techniques and how to be creative. We visited the wonderful wild coast, waterfalls, rivers and lochs of the area. They have a studio on site and I learnt how to set up and photograph water droplets and refraction. It was difficult to capture but with the help and encouragement of David I managed to get a couple of great shots. Both David and Janet are very knowledgeable and readily share their experience and are generous with their encouragement . The accommodation was very comfortable and the food was delicious. Looking forward to going again in the future. I can highly recommend a visit there.

Spring in the Scottish Highlands

A week with Wild Arena at their base, Forsinard Lodge, improved my photography tenfold. David and Janet's passion for photography is evident. Tapping into their vast knowledge and collective experience, I learned so much. Learning and working with different techniques to develop creativity and help make photographs stand out, I surprised myself with my creativity. The Lodge, placed in an ideal location, gives access to numerous beautiful areas from the coast to the mountains. A nature studio on-site is a real bonus. With excellent hospitality, great company, many photographic opportunities, and on-hand photography advice, you will not regret a week with Wild Arena.

North Coast Birds and Landscape

A week at Forsinard, the new hidden gem on my photography calendar. Janet and David have magically blended their passion for photography and in-depth local knowledge with the area’s stunning settings and abundance wildlife.

Add in Adrienne’s delicious homemade meals, the delight of the old lodge and what is not to love. The group sizes are deliberately small making for an intimate learning environment, I can honestly say I feel totally recharged, reconnect to my photography and cannot wait to go back.

Autumn Colours and Macro

The abundance of photo opportunities and sheer variety of subjects. David and Janet’s commitment to creating the best possible photographic experience for clients. Not to forget the food also which was excellent.

Macro Workshop

As a follow up to the macro workshop, I thoroughly enjoyed the day, improved my macro skills and managed to come away with some good images; it was also my first visit to Liverpool and we will be returning at some stage to continue our exploration of the city.

Highland Winter Photo Holiday

My week with Wild Arena in the Highlands of Scotland was simply amazing and greatly exceeded my expectations. I can’t praise enough the excellent photo sessions in superb surroundings, the great accommodation and wonderful food. The finishing touch was the wonderful company, both human and animal, which made it feel like I was staying with friends. If you have an interest in photography, be it as a beginner or someone more experienced, then don’t hesitate to do this workshop. You will have a great time and learn so much, I did.

Spring in the Scottish Highlands

Whilst the journey to get there from Cheshire was long I can honestly say it was well worth it. David and Janet excelled at gently pushing me out of my comfort zone including my fear of heights!! Whilst I like taking photos of wildlife I now find myself delving into the world of landscapes, beaches and even derelict buildings. Accommodation was fantastic and loved there was no tv. Good food courtesy of Adrienne. Highland cows have now been ticked off my photography bucket list.
